The challenge
Fragrance is one of the hardest packaging categories to get right. The product is invisible — the packaging is the entire sensory experience before the cap comes off. Lumora needed to communicate luminosity, depth, and sophistication without defaulting to the overused black-and-gold luxury shorthand. Variant differentiation also had to be clear while maintaining a unified family feel.
The approach
The design system was built around the interplay of light and shadow — a deep midnight base with a foil-stamped logomark that catches light differently depending on angle. Each variant was distinguished through a secondary colour accent applied to a single structural element, keeping the family cohesive while making individual bottles immediately identifiable. Typography was set in a refined display serif at large scale — the brand name becomes part of the visual composition, not just a label.
