Educational brand identity
A full brand identity for a YouTube educator who needed history to feel urgent and visual — not dusty and academic. Built for a creator scaling from 700 to 85K subscribers.

The challenge
History content has a serious image problem online — it either looks like a textbook or tries too hard to be edgy. Jane needed an identity that felt genuinely curious and editorial without leaning on the usual parchment-and-quill clichés. It also had to hold up across YouTube thumbnails, course landing pages, and social graphics simultaneously.
The approach
I built the identity around an archival editorial system — tight serif headlines paired with raw texture overlays, a warm amber and charcoal palette that felt aged but not tired. The logo mark was designed to scale cleanly from a 32px favicon to a 6-foot banner. Templates were built modularly so Jane could produce new content without breaking the system.
